Previously, WMS connections were limited to WMS services published in EPSG:3857. Now, you can connect to WMS services in any SRS supported by EPSG. The layer creation interface includes an SRS selector, if the required SRS is added to your Web GIS SRS list, you can select it during setup.
It is very useful if you work with national geoportals data!
