Keep panel and toolbaar setting when updating QMS plugin

Hi,

Recently, updating the QMS plugin resulted in automatically opening the Search NextGIS QMS panel.
I understand this behaviour on a first install of a plugin, you have to give the user the correct tools.
But when updating an existing plugin it should, in my opinion, respect the panel settings and the toolbar settings. I consider being in control of these settings as one of the power features of QGIS.

Could you please consider keeping existing settings when a user is only updating the plugin?
I am not sure if this is possible by the way. Is updating in any way different from installing as new? I assume so, because the plugin manager has the option to reinstall a plugin.

Thank you very much for raising this question. I had never considered that the automatic appearance of the panel could disrupt the configured interface. We’ll discuss it with the team.
